We want to hear from you! The Aerozone TEDI’s success relies on understanding public hopes and concerns.
PUBLIC SURVEY
The Aerozone TEDI public survey opened In November 20-25 and closed in February 2026. There were 239 responses, representing residents and workers from across the region.
Top line findings are that current Aerozone residents value the high-quality recreational assets and highway and transit access the region provides. Congestion was the most salient concern, especially with respect to new development, with traffic safety following.
Aerozone workers reported they did not have major barriers accessing employment but indicated a demand for more retail and restaurant options. Business owners offered relatively neutral appraisal of the Aerozone's current conditions.
Access to the airport was listed as a frustrated for many respondents, with the cost of parking and ride share, as well as traffic backups at a handful of key junctions being the most common complaints.

FOCUS GROUPS
These groups in the Aerozone TEDI project serve as structured opportunities to gather targeted input from key stakeholders across different sectors—such as anchor institutions, workforce development partners, local governments, industry representatives, and community-based organizations. These conversations will help the project team understand each group’s priorities, challenges, and vision for the district, ensuring that the recommendations are both grounded and actionable.
Focus Group for freight and logistics companies
The focus group emphasized that while the Aerozone area offers strong geographic advantages, ongoing challenges such as the lack of direct international flights, infrastructure bottlenecks, and limited warehouse space slow freight movement and business growth. Participants noted the need for improved road, rail, and transit access, along with more space for distribution, skilled labor, and nearby housing options. Overall, they see significant potential in the Aerozone but stressed that strategic improvements are essential to support continued expansion.
public meeting - november 13, 2025
The first Aerozone TEDI public meeting, held November 13 in Middleburg Heights, with participants representing a range of communities and interests. Discussion focused primarily on concerns about project costs, taxes, maintenance, and roadway safety and congestion, especially near the airport interchange. Attendees expressed mixed views on multimodal transportation, with some interest in expanded transit, trails, and new technologies, while others questioned biking infrastructure. Questions about the study’s purpose and cost were addressed by NOACA leadership, and broader regional issues, including the proposed Browns stadium move, were also raised.
